Hurra for 17. mai!

This has been my first 17th of May (Constitution Day) in another country, and I have to admit I've never been as patriotic as this. We celebrated it at the Norwegian Church outside Paris (den norske sjoemannskirken), we had a parade and everything and were about 100 people. After the parade there was a lunch in the back garden of the church (which technically isn't a church but a big house), we sang songs, and the ambassador had a speech. It was fun! Marta, Silje and Solveig were there aswell, Solveig even had the entire family visiting. Silje had a bunad, people were sort of looking at her in the metro - what's with the outfit?!
I took a lot of photos which'll appear in my blog later...

Afterwards me and Marta went to Jaco's in the evening for leadership meeting, all the groups were gathered and Brendan was talking. I love having Brendan as pastor, he is so inspirational. When he says he wants to motivate us he really does. And I love my church! How I love it. Just to see so many people impacted, so many lives go forward. When you have a passion for the church, you get a servant-attitude that says 'I'm willing to do whatever it takes to build the House of God', and that's really how it's like for me. Honestly, if Brendan asked me to scrub the toilets every Friday I probably would... (Altho quite content with being Connect Group host and on New Christian team and do Connection Points, by the way).
