My Big Fat American Breakfast

Even though you live in (sophisticated) Paris, you can still have a real american breakfast as opposed to the tiny coffe and a biscuit. You don't even have to stay at a hotel!

Yesterday that was exactly what we did, Matt, Paul, Lydia, Emma, Daniel and me. Met up at fountain St Michel at 08.45, so early even the birds hadn't even started singing yet(French birds are lazy compared to Norwegian) and went to have breakfast at this all-American diner. I know! It was so funny. We came in - picture the many diners you find along US highways (Tor Olav, you probably know what I am talking about). In one booth sat about five American tourists, all *slightly* overweight and wearing sweaters with 'Paris' written over the chest, plus matching caps. Okay...

And the breakfast... Well, let's just say neiter of us ate much more that day. So incredibly filling. Thick pancakes with syrup and butter, slices of bacon, egg, juice, toast, peanut butter, and as much coffee (americano of course) as you could manage to drink. I loved it!

So my dinner later that day consisted of a banana, half an apple and a youghurt, which I ate around 20.00. Somehow it feels like I swopped breakfast for dinner?? :D
